• "¿Qué dijiste?"

  What did you say?

Usage

Decir is one of the most common verbs in Spanish and is highly irregular (digo, dices, dice, decimos, decís, dicen). It frequently takes a direct object or subordinate clause. The phrase "es decir" means "that is to say" and is widely used for clarification.
