Usage
Changer is a common, everyday verb used both intransitively (to change, undergo change) and transitively (to change something). The expression "changer d'avis" (literally: to change [one's] mind) is idiomatic and frequently used. Avoid the English calque "changer de" when you mean simply "to alter" without replacement (use "modifier" instead).
