Examples

  I couldn't find my keys anywhere.

• "Vamos encontrar você amanhã na praça?"

  Shall we meet you tomorrow at the square?

• "Encontrei um livro interessante na biblioteca."

  I came across an interesting book at the library.

Usage

Highly common verb. Reflexive form (encontrar-se) means "to meet each other" or "to be located." Often used in the future tense "vou encontrar" (I'm going to meet). Do not confuse with "encontro" (noun: meeting/encounter).
