Examples

• "Ela perguntou meu nome na entrevista."

  She asked my name in the interview.

• "Vou perguntar ao professor sobre a lição de amanhã."

  I'm going to ask the teacher about tomorrow's lesson.

• "Ele perguntou por você ontem."

  He asked about you yesterday.

Usage

A regular -ar verb. Commonly used with direct questions (perguntar + object/clause) or with prepositions like "sobre" (about), "por" (about/for), or "a" (to). Do not confuse with "pedir" (to ask for something / to request).
