Usage

Very common verb in both formal academic contexts (fazer pesquisa científica) and everyday speech (pesquisar na internet). Often used with prepositions: pesquisar sobre (research about/on), pesquisar em (search in). Don't confuse with "procurar" (to look for physical objects or people).
