Examples

• "Os alunos começaram a questionar os métodos tradicionais de ensino."

  The students began to question traditional teaching methods.

• "A polícia questionou as testemunhas sobre o que viram."

  The police questioned the witnesses about what they saw.

• "Ele sempre questiona tudo que eu digo."

  He always questions everything I say.

Usage

Regular -ar verb. Often used with the preposition "sobre" (about) when asking questions. Common collocations include "questionar a autoridade" (question authority), "questionar decisões" (challenge decisions). Not to be confused with "perguntar" (to ask a direct question).
