Usage

One of the most common verbs in Portuguese. Conjugates regularly in most tenses but has irregular forms in present subjunctive (siga, sigas). Often used with gerunds (seguir + -ando/-endo/-indo) to mean "to keep on/continue doing something"; this construction is very natural in Brazilian Portuguese.
